Mercury are very proud of the personal challenges its staff take on to benefit good causes and charities. Michael Rothwell has recently completed a 75 mile London to Brighton off-road bike ride in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
The ride started at the University of Roehampton, and then headed towards Brighton via Weybridge, Shere, Southwater Country Park and Steyning, taking on the largest incline in the final leg, before heading down to the finish in Brighton. This ride is a Grade 4 with 1570m of climbing.
“A great day of cycling and thankfully the weather was on our side. 7½ hours in the saddle was made easier by all the training, and the knowledge that it was all for a fantastic cause” – Michael Rothwell
